Hi, welcome to Shusb01 🌱

My name is Movahid (you can call me Mo) and this is my personal corner on the internet where I write about the things I genuinely care about and spend way too much time thinking / experimenting with.

What is this blog about?

Shusb01 is a small, no-nonsense blog focused on:

• Practical urban / small-space gardening (balconies, windowsills, pots, microgreens, herbs, pizza gardens…)
• Realistic ways to grow food and medicine at home even when you have almost no space
• Honest reviews & step-by-step guides (no fluff, no affiliate spam)
• Tea herbs, spice growing (saffron, ginger, turmeric…), natural pest control, heatwave / winter survival for containers
• Occasional deep dives into personal finance, health insurance navigation, reading EOBs, and other “adulting survival” topics that frustrate me enough to write 10,000+ words about them 😅

It’s not trying to be a huge lifestyle brand or a monetized content farm. It’s just me documenting what I learn so that maybe it helps one or two other people in tiny apartments who also want fresh basil, home-grown turmeric, or to understand why their insurance is refusing to pay for Wegovy.

Why the name “Shusb01”?

“Shusb” = short + hush (quiet, personal, low-profile).
“01” = first version, first try, starting point.

I wanted something short, memorable, a little weird, and not already taken on every platform. That’s it. No deep philosophical meaning 😄

Where am I writing from?

Right now — Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
Most of the gardening experiments you read about here are done on a very windy, very sunny, very dusty balcony at ~1 600 m altitude with dramatic temperature swings between day and night.

That forces me to test everything under real (and sometimes brutal) conditions — which I think makes the guides more useful for people who don’t live in perfect gardening YouTube weather.

What you won’t find here

• Clickbait titles (“Millionaires HATE this one plant!”)
• 30 affiliate links in every post
• “I made $10k last month blogging” income reports
• AI-generated filler content
• Guaranteed success promises (gardening and insurance are both unpredictable)

What you will find here

• Long, honest, step-by-step guides (often 8 000–15 000 words because I hate leaving things half-explained)
• Real costs, real failures, real recovery stories
• Focus on renters / small spaces / low budget
• No-nonsense answers to questions I had myself (and couldn’t find good answers for)
